Tyler Jordan Matthews is nationally known as one of the top performance enhancement specialists. Growing up, Tyler developed a love for the game of basketball. As a player it was not his skill level or athleticism that separated him from others. Where Tyler stood out was his passion for the game & his relentless work ethic & drive for improvement. Tylers high school workouts consisted mostly of spot up shooting reps with occasional simple ball handling drills. In the weight room he pushed his body way further than any teenagers should especially because he had no education on proper program & technique which later caught up to him. After suffering an injury where he herniated a disc in his lumbar spine his senior year of high school, he held off on going to college & decided take a year off to rehab & get back into playing shape. In that time he was working at an Ice cream shop when 2 local kids who knew Tyler played ball asked if he would help them get better. Tyler began working with these 2 kids at the rec center & within weeks was seeing major improvement. Tylers aspirations of being a pro player were slowly fading as his love for helping others grew. Tyler had gotten more addicted to seeing the kids improve than he ever was his own improvement! This is when Tyler met Micah Lancaster who is known as the worlds top NBA skills trainer. Tyler got offered a position to work with & learn from Micah for 1 year at the I'm Possible Training World Headquarters in Michigan. Tyler has also studied at DBC Fitness where he learned directly from Lebron James & Dwayne Wade's trainers Donnie Raimon & David Alexander. Tyler holds a certification in Biomechanics & Human Movement.
Tyler has traveled the US to direct camps and clinics. He has worked directly with players at every level from 4 year olds to high school players to college athletes all the way up to NBA All- Stars. His high profile resume includes players such as :
Victor Oladipo, Tim Hardaway Jr., Brandon Ingram, Cory Joseph, Birkan Batuk, Michael Carey & more!
Tyler's Objective: To improve the quality of basketball players by helping players appreciate the effects of positive attitude, work ethic, self-discipline, and self-determination!
